Overfished Zine
(Conceptual Work)
Challenge
This project aimed to create a contemplative guide on a social justice issue. Where I provided positive instructive guidelines and solutions through design and typography.
However, this guide HAD TO engage the reader in 1000 words or less. My topic for this project was seafood sustainability.
Target Audience
Individuals who consume and purchase seafood products.
Project Type
Publication Design and Infographic Design
Deliverables
8.5” x 11” Zine
Solution
From the beginning, the reader is introduced to seafood sustainability and its importance in the world. To create the story of this zine, I used imagery to show the process of how seafood is caught and where the final product ends up.
Each spread is meant to give a brief overview of the many ways seafood sustainability affects people and the environment. My color palette choice is based on the colors of the ocean. The final design utilizes imagery and infographics to establish a narrative that is easy to read.
