Design Process

For the masthead, I took inspiration from painted signs in México. The goal was to create a design that felt experimental and handmade. I went through many iterations before selecting one and digitizing it.

For the illustrations, I went for a more loose and rough approach. Mascots are common among many Mexican businesses, especially on hand-painted signs. My intention was to pay homage to this iconic characteristic.
